WHITING, Ind. – May 30, 2017 – The Midwest Collegiate league has announced its first Players of the Week for the 2017 season.

Joe Stewart (Michigan State University/Portage, Mich.) of The DuPage County Hounds will take this week’s honors, batting .615 in three games in a shortened week. Stewart hit two doubles and a triple, racking up eight hits in all.  He helped the Hounds start with an early-season record of 1-1 (Monday’s game against the Southland Vikings was suspended because of light).
